Common Bosch faults in Hobart homes
Scale on the heat exchanger
Shows as reduced output and fluctuating temperature. Southern Tasmanian water is soft, so this is less common here than on the mainland — but not unheard of on 20-year-old units.
Water valve and sensor faults
Unit runs hot then cold, or won't modulate. Usually a stocked sensor or valve rather than a heat exchanger issue.
Flue termination non-compliance
