Pilot outages in exposed positions
Outdoor G Series tanks on windward Eastern Shore and coastal Kingston blocks can lose the pilot in strong wind — a draught shield or repositioning often solves what looks like an appliance fault.
Sediment rumble
Distinctive kettling from the tank base after years of service. Flushing helps on younger units.
Tempering valve failure
Scalding water at the bathroom tap. A safety fault, replaced same visit.
